The Second Look

Before you sign that return, let someone read everything.

You are on extension, and the deadline is doing the deciding. A fixed fee and ten business days buy a complete read of what is about to be filed, with every finding in writing and a dollar next to it. If you stay for a monthly plan, the fee comes off your first month.

    What the fee buys

Four steps. All of them shown.

    01

    Your IRS transcripts, pulled

Form 8821 lets us see the same wage, income and account records the IRS has, before anyone files. Quiet notices and mismatches show up here first.

    02

Your last two returns, read line by line

Against your books, your bank activity and your closing documents. Not skimmed. Read, the way the person signing deserves.

    03

    The numbers, recomputed

An independent second computation that has to tie to the penny. No plugs, and no rounding a problem away.

    04

A written memo, with the dollars

Every finding named, what it is worth, and what we would do about it. If everything checks out, you get that in writing too.

    Found on second looks

    What a careful read finds.

    $67,200

A client's stake in a sale, corrected upward after a 188 page closing binder was finally read in full.

    4 years

Of note interest missing from filed returns, found by recomputing an amortization schedule to the dollar.

    $75,366

Of real expenses never booked, found in one QuickBooks file. Worth roughly $24,000 of federal tax.

Real engagements · details anonymized · every number ties to a working paper

    The fee, in writing

Pick the shape of your file.

Paid in full to book, so your slot is real. Work starts within two business days of your documents landing, and the memo is in your hands ten business days after that.

    Personal
    $500

Your last two personal returns and your transcripts. For W-2 plus side income, rentals, or stock sales.

    One business
    $1,000

One entity and the owner's 1040. Books to return, tied out.

    Multi entity
    $1,500

Two or more related entities and the 1040 between them. The seams between entities are where findings live.

    With an IRS notice
    $2,500

The full read, plus your open notice answered item by item.

Join a monthly plan within 30 days and your Second Look fee comes off your first month.

Every engagement is confirmed in writing before work begins.

    Straight answers

Why is it paid up front?

Because the deliverable is the work itself. The memo is yours whatever it says, so the fee pays for the reading, not the outcome. Payment books your slot and the ten day clock starts when your documents land.

    What if you find nothing?

Then you get that in writing, and you sign your return knowing a second set of eyes went through all of it. Most files are not clean, but a clean one is a good day.

    Who does the work?

Rafael Rosario Jr reads every file personally. He is an IRS PTIN holder with Enrolled Agent candidacy in progress. Licensed work such as audits is coordinated through our vetted partner network.

What do you need from me?

A short list: your last two returns, portal access to your books or a bookkeeping file, and a signed Form 8821. We send the exact list with your engagement letter within one business day of booking.

Two dates are coming. Walk in prepared.

Book your Second Look above, or bring your questions to a call first. Either way, someone reads your file before you sign it.
